Rules and Regulations
All on-ground decorations in Sugarcreek Township cemeteries need to be removed by April 1st annually in order for township workers to begin spring cleanup. Any such decoration left after that date are subject to removal and may be found next to the cemetery maintenace building. Saddles on stones are not affected. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
No cemetery lot may be sold, transferred, or given to another party except that the transaction be made through the Township Fiscal Officer.

No cemetery lot may be sold for more than the original purchase price.
​
All burials shall be made in an approved vault. An approved vault consists of either steel or concrete.
​
A licensed undertaker shall be in charge of all burials.
​
No trees shall be planted on any cemetery lot.
​
Small shrubs, flowers etc, may be planted at the tombstone of so desired, however, it shall be the duty of the lot owner to keep such shrubs, flowers etc, trimmed and free from disease. The cemetery sexton has the right to remove or destroy any shrubs, flowers etc, if they become diseased or if they any way hinder the regular order of maintenance of the cemetery.

The Board of Township Trustees shall not be held liable for any urn, grave marker, wreath, or planter placed on any grave.

The Board of Township Trustees encourages the practice of trimming around tombstones by lot owners.
​
Remember, a township cemetery is controlled and maintained by the Board of Township Trustees and the only source of revenue for this purpose us from the sale of lots and from your tax dollar. Therefore, the Board of Trustees asks your aid in helping them to conserve your tax dollars.

Any information desired about your cemetery may be obtained by contacting the township fiscal officer.
​
All veteran's plaques are to be installed on the back of their stone. The only exception is if a name on the back of the stone does not allow space for this to be done.

Monday through Friday: $750.00
Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays*: $1,250.00

Infants and urns: $450.00

For residents: $400.00
For non-residents: $900.00
No burials on holidays
